Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for the Cardiovascular Operating Room in Savannah, GA. This full-time position supports the OR team by setting up instruments, assisting in prepping the room, and helping with patient positioning and transport.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, active CST, BLS, and 1–2 years CVOR experience; ongoing professional development is encouraged as you participate in education and hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Experience in OR required.
• 1–2 years CVOR experience required.
• Hold current CST certification.
• Current BLS required (AHA or Red Cross).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assist in patient positioning, transporting, and obtaining needed equipment.
• Perform counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed.

Certified Surgical Tech – Cardiovascular Operating Room (Full-Time)

Certified Surgical Tech candidates for the Cardiovascular Operating Room will have the following responsibilities:

• Set up and manage instruments, equipment, and supplies for all surgical procedures
• Assist in prepping the room for the next patient
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
• Assist in patient positioning, transporting, and obtaining needed equipment
• Perform appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed
• Perform specific and assigned tasks which are supportive of all patient populations
• Support, maintain, and provide an environment that promotes quality care through effective use of resources and personnel
• Strive to meet the expectations and needs of customers, respond to concerns with a sense of urgency, and seek win‑win solutions for unreasonable customer expectations
• Seek opportunities for professional growth through participation in continuing education, staff development, and hospital committees

Job Qualifications

Certified Surgical Tech candidates for the Cardiovascular Operating Room must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Experience in OR required
• One to two years of CVOR experience required
• Hold current certification in Surgical Technology
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
