Job summary

Samaritan Health Services at Samaritan Medical Center is hiring a Surgical Tech for the operating room. This full-time day shift role supports sterile processing, instrument handling, and direct patient care in the OR setting.

Eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Requirements include completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program (preferred) or current LPN license eligibility, BLS, and ongoing CEU coursework (15 CEUs per year).

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible.
• Knowledge of cleaning/sterilization/disinfections of equipment and instrumentation in OR setting.
• BLS required and CEU requirements of 15 CEUs per year.
• OR experience preferred and desire to work in an Operating Room.

• Approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience and successful achievement in medications exam.
• Knowledge in the use of cleaning/sterilization/disinfections of equipment and instrumentation utilized in the clinical operating room setting.
• OR experience preferred
• Desire to work within an Operating Room setting.
• BLS required.
• Continuing education requirements of 15 CEU’s per year.
