Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a day shift, full-time Certified Surgical Technologist to assist the surgeon in the sterile field per AORN standards, across varied specialties. You will perform scrub duties and ensure sterile supplies and equipment are available under the RN circulator's supervision.

Qualified candidates must hold CST or NCC certification, complete 15 hours of CE annually, and obtain BLS within 14 days of hire.

• Ensures that the case has the necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient.
• Ensures adherence to Hospital, State, and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCC.
• Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in the State of NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Minimum of one (1) year as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Rate of pay isdeterminedbased on experience andeducation, andmay include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
