Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is seeking a day shift, full-time Certified Surgical Technician to support surgical teams at Westwood, NJ. The CST/NCC credential and BLS certification are required, with annual CE hours to maintain qualification.

The role involves scrubbing across procedures, ensuring sterile supplies, and assisting the RN circulator while upholding hospital and state policies.

Formación

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCC is required.
• Annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a surgical technologist in NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures the case has necessary sterile supplies and equipment for that surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator assigned to the patient.
• Ensures adherence to Hospital, State, and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Preferred Job Requirements:

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Minimum of one (1) year as a Certified Surgical Technologist.

Rate of pay isdeterminedbased on experience andeducation, andmay include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
