Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Assistant program or equivalent.
• 1 year Operating Room experience as Surgical Assistant preferred.
• Virginia Licensed Surgical Assistant (LSA) upon hire or equivalent certification such as CSFA/NCCSA/CSFA upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the physician with all aspects of care during the operative procedure.
• Collaborate with physicians to meet specialized patient needs.
• Support departmental productivity through scheduling Flex/shift changes as needed.
• Demonstrate problem solving and serve as a clinical resource for peers and the surgeon.
• Recommend and participate in supply utilization changes to reduce costs and waste.
• Assure adherence to safety, infection control, and patient safety standards.
