Job summary

Medical City Frisco is seeking a Licensed Surgical Assistant (LSA) or Certified First Assistant (CFA) to assist surgeons in the operating room, providing exposure, hemostasis, and other technical support for safe operations. The role may also involve duties as an OR scrub technician as needed.

The position requires CST licensure or equivalent, CFA/CSA certification, and BCLS within 30 days of start date. At Medical City Frisco, you will join a team dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires CSA (Certified Surgical Assistant) or CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant) certification.
• Licensed CST by the Association of Surgical Technologists and/or higher education in surgery.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound exposure using retractors to allow surgeon to view the operative site.
• Complete skin prep and draping.
• Maintain a dry field with suction and sponges to ensure clear visualization.
