Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology course or certified surgical assistant.
Five years CST experience required or two years in a first assist role.
Certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required.
Responsibilities
Facilitate safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures.
Ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly.
Assist in performing invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Skills
Knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique
Ability to assess patient's status
Exposure and hemostasis techniques
