Job summary

UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician – Certified to handle decontamination, sorting, and sterilization of reusable patient care equipment. The role includes working varying shifts and weekends, with day-shift training to start. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to external applicants who are certified in sterile processing.

Free parking is provided. In this position you will receive an hourly rate with incentive pay and be part of the OR processing team,

Qualifications

• Must be certified in sterile processing.
• Experience with decontamination and sterilization processes.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination procedures.
• Prepare reusable patient care items for sterilization.
• Sterilize using appropriate methods.
• Sort and distribute equipment and instrument trays.
• Collaborate with OR processing team and perioperative staff.
