Job summary

Qualifications

• Lead CSS staff and collaborate with CDC and OR staff to ensure safe, quality sterile products.

• Operate multiple equipment types, including sterilizers, washers, cart washers, Steris 1 and sonic cleaners.

In this role the Certified Sterile Processing Technician Lead proactively works with CSS staff, CDC and OR Staff to provide a high level of customer service with quality products. Provides sterile processing team with guidance in all aspects of departmental functions. Must have strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal. Knowledge of industry standards with TJC, AAMI, ICP and ACHA. Computer skills are required. Ability to operate multiple types of equipment including, but not limited to, sterilizers, washers, cart washers, steris 1 and sonic cleaners.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA) or medical background. Two years experience in Central Sterile Supply or operating room.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Must have sterile processing certification or obtain certification within one year of employment.
