Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is seeking a Central Sterile Supervisor to oversee instrumentation and equipment availability. You will ensure safe practices, coordinate staff across decontamination, sterilization and tray assembly, and support ongoing training and process improvements.

Qualifications

Job Description

Serves as shift charge person in the absence of department leadership, prioritizing work to ensure instrumentation and equipment availability. Ensures safe work practices for all employees, monitors staff use of PPE in decontamination area, and takes appropriate action in emergency situations.

Participates in new employee orientation, on-the-job training, in-service education, and facility process improvement initiatives.

Oversees and monitors supply and equipment inventory required for the department. Rotates assignments among various areas within the department, including decontamination, surgical tray assembly, sterilization processes, and equipment management.

• Serves as the primary point of contact for OR for instrument issues

• Ability to perform as Supervisor in the event of Supervisor/Manager absence

Education

• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]
