Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician to support night shifts. You will supervise as needed, ensure safe instrument handling, and manage decontamination, sterilization, and inventory across the department.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in central sterile processing preferred.

Job Description:

• Serves as shift charge person in the absence of department leadership, prioritizing work to ensure instrumentation and equipment availability.
• Ensures safe work practices for all employees, monitors staff use of PPE in decontamination area, and takes appropriate action in emergency situations.
• Participates in new employee orientation, on-the-job training, in-service education, and facility process improvement initiatives.
• Oversees and monitors supply and equipment inventory required for the department.
• Rotates assignments among various areas within the department, including decontamination, surgical tray assembly, sterilization processes, and equipment management.

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR
• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]
