The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Winter Garden

• AdventHealth Winter Garden is a state-of-the-art hospital with 80 beds, offering a wide range of health care services including emergency care, surgical services, lab work, primary and specialty care, imaging, spine health, women’s and men’s care, pediatric services, and more—all in one location.
• The hospital is undergoing expansion to add three floors to the patient tower and additional women’s services, expected to complete in 2026.
• The expansion will include 40 new beds in the progressive care unit, obstetrics and gynecology services, labor and delivery facilities, postpartum beds, operating rooms, and space for a future NICU.
• It is conveniently located in Winter Garden Village, near downtown Winter Garden, Walt Disney World, and Orlando attractions.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Certified Sterile Processing Technician will be certified (CRCST or CBSPD) and will provide thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized instruments and equipment to the OR and other departments. Responsibilities include following manufacturer instructions for reprocessing, assembling instrument trays accurately, operating sterilization equipment safely, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining excellent customer service and respectful relationships.

• Rotates among various department areas including decontamination, sterilization, and supply management.
• Properly identifies, segregates, cleans, disassembles, inspects, and assembles surgical instruments, ensuring proper sterilization packaging and documentation.
• Ensures all instrument sets are correctly sterilized with indicators and lot stickers.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Experience in sterile processing or relevant training (surgical tech or military).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification through HSPA or CBSPD.
