UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician for the 11pm-7am shift. You will maintain sterile instrument inventories, operate sterilization equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities include decontamination, instrument set corrections, quality audits, and collaboration with the surgical team. Requires CRCST/CSPDT or equivalent, BLS preferred, and 1+ year of sterile processing experience.

Full-Time 11pm-7am Maintains accurate records of sterilization activities and inventory levels. Other duties as assigned. Operates sterilization equipment and inspects instruments, equipment, and containers to ensure cleanliness and proper functioning. Performs decontamination of soiled instruments, sterilization containers, and equipment according to instructions for use (IFUs) and established protocols. Corrects instrument sets according to current standards, established count sheets, and/or instrument tracking systems. Maintains proper levels of inventory to ensure availability for case carts. Performs regular quality assurance program audits of peers. Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure timely availability of sterilized instruments and equipment. Monitors and documents sterilization processes to ensure compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoots and resolves issues with sterilization equipment and processes. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sterilization processes. Trains new staff on sterilization procedures and protocols. Ensures proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
Must be proficient in the English language.
