Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL seeks a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician for the night shift (11pm–7am). You will select materials, ensure proper packaging, operate sterilization equipment, and verify indicators to maintain aseptic safety standards.

Requires CRCST or CSPDT certification and a high school diploma. Technical/vocational training is preferred; BLS is a plus. Opportunities for care, development, and well-being resources are offered.

Job Description

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
