Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join the Sterile Processing Dept-Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron. The role supports operating rooms by preparing, sterilizing, and organizing instruments for patient care during evening shifts.

The position offers training on state-of-the-art processing equipment and tools, with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for external hires. Schedule is 2:30pm–11:00pm; no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily assignments on the shift assignment sheet and exhibit flexibility when asked to change assignments as needed.
• Function independently in all areas of Sterile Processing and portions of the Surgical Suite, including decontamination, prep, pack, instrumentation, sterile storage, and case carts.

As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a key role in how our operating rooms care for our patients as a whole team relies on you to successfully set up the operating room. Certified Sterile Processing Technicians receive ample support, training and education, including learning how to operate the latest, state-of-the-art processing equipment and using the newest sterilization tools and concepts.

A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.No weekends
