Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Certified Sterile Process Technician for a PRN, part-time on-site role in Illinois. The technician will care for and prepare surgical instruments, maintain inventory, and ensure sterilizers are tested and records kept up to date.

The ideal candidate holds Sterile Processing Certification, has 2 years in hospital materials management, and possesses Basic Life Support certification. Strong aseptic technique and reading/comprehension skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Sterile Processing Certification required.
• Instrument technician experience, 2 years or equivalent experience in hospital materials management department.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• Knowledge of standard precautions, aseptic technique and principles of sterilization and instrument handling.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret measurements.
