Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician at Oviedo Medical Center. You will ensure instruments are clean, sterile, and ready for use, supporting patient safety and efficient surgical care.

Responsibilities include assembling sets, managing sterilization equipment, and maintaining inventory while assisting the surgical team during procedures. Certification and BCLS are required within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays to ensure sterility and readiness.
• Manage sterilization equipment and keep accurate records for safety and infection prevention.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and procedures.
• Manage OR storage inventory with the team to meet needs and maintain smooth operations.
• Respond quickly to instrument requests during surgeries and assist with urgent equipment needs.
