Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to inspect, assemble and decontaminate surgical instruments and sets. You will support case carts, maintain inventory and perform quality assurance audits to ensure instrument readiness and patient safety.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, and one year of applicable experience or an approved certification in sterile processing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, assembles and evaluates surgical instruments and instrument sets to ensure quality and readiness for procedures.
• Operates sterilization equipment, decontaminates soiled instruments and containers following IFUs and protocols.
• Maintains inventory for case carts and performs regular quality assurance audits of peers.
