Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO seeks a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to ensure the safe, efficient flow of instruments and supplies in the OR.

You will decontaminate, inspect, package, and sterilize items, while maintaining accurate records and complying with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards. You will mentor staff, support survey readiness, and uphold patient safety as a core priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST or CSPDT Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, and packages supplies and instruments using proper techniques.
• Knowledge of packaging to promote successful sterilization.
• Understands single-use device guidelines and FDA reprocessing guidelines for re-use.
• Sterilizes supplies and instruments using prescribed methods (e.g. steam, Sterrad).
• Operates washer/decontaminator per department policy and procedure.

Education
