Job summary

STHS McAllen is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instruments and operate cleaning and sterilization equipment. The role includes quality monitoring, case-cart preparation, and supply management within a surgical setting.

Qualified candidates will have at least 12 months in Sterile Processing, proficiency with IFU interpretation, and current CRCST certification. Strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Twelve months minimum in Sterile Processing
• Proficiency in IFU interpretation and English communication
• CRCST certification must be current and maintained

Responsibilities

• Manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers and related equipment
• Complete quality monitoring and documentation
• Prepare case carts by selecting supplies and instruments
• Assist with inventory management and clinic instrument rounds
• Mentor, train, and coach new Sterile Processing Techs
• Commit to excellence, quality, and customer service
