Job summary

HCA HealthONE Rose seeks a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to coordinate cleaning, assembly, and dispensing of surgical instruments for daily procedures. The role requires certification and experience in multi-specialty instrumentation, with strong English and procedural knowledge.

Responsibilities include operating sterilization equipment, maintaining tray accuracy, and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure instrument availability and proper storage in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Current Central Service Technician certification with IAHCSMM or CBSPD required.
• High school or GED required.
• 1 year experience with multi-specialty OR instrumentation preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write English, including medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes.
• Ability to stand, walk constantly and lift heavy instrument trays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cleaning, assembly and dispensing of instruments for daily surgical procedures.
• Operate washer sterilizer, ultrasonic washer, heat sealer, and steam autoclave equipment.
• Maintain proper tray cards and instrument readiness for OR use.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure instrument availability and condition.
