Job summary

Advocate Health’s Lexington Medical Center is seeking a Full-time Sterile Processing Technician for the 37719 Lexington facility. You will clean, inspect and assemble surgical instruments, operate autoclaves and Steris units, and ensure a steady supply of sterile products for the OR, following CSPDT standards.

Hours are 40 per week (Mon-Fri) with weekend/holiday call; qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and CSPDT certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CSPDT certification required or eligible.
• Experience in sterile processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes teamwork.
• Cleans, inspects and assembles instruments and sets.
• Operates sterilizing units to produce sterile products.
• Maintains logs and ensures availability of supplies.
• Provides age-appropriate care as applicable.
