Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital Mountain Point in Lehi, Utah is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to promote patient safety by ensuring efficient flow in the Sterile Processing department and maintaining compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.

You will perform decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, maintain records, mentor staff, and prepare for regulatory assessments to support a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT Certification required.
• Six months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, and wraps or packages supplies and instruments using proper techniques and procedures.
• Packages items to promote successful sterilization.
• Understands FDA guidelines for reprocessing single-use devices.
• Sterilizes supplies and instruments using prescribed methods (e.g. steam, gas plasma like Sterrad).
• Operates washer/decontaminator per department policy and procedure.
