Job summary

SSM Health Outpatient Surgery Center on Kisker Road in Missouri is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join a dedicated team. You will inspect, assemble and evaluate surgical instruments, ensuring proper sterilization, completeness of sets, and readiness for cases.

The position offers a day shift, Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or on-call. The role emphasizes adherence to decontamination protocols, instrument tracking, inventory control and safe practices in a fast-paced care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or 10 years of work experience required.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CSPDT certification required.
• Ability to follow decontamination and sterilization protocols with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate soiled instruments, containers and equipment per protocol.
• Inspect instruments and containers to ensure cleanliness and function.
• Correct instrument sets according to standards and count sheets.
• Maintain inventory levels to support case carts.
• Work safely and follow all hospital policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
