Job summary

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center is seeking a Sterilization Technician for the evening shift. The role involves receipt, decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments and hospital equipment, with proper labeling and documentation of sterilizer items.

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
• Experience: One year experience in Central Sterile or Operating Room experience preferred.
• Certification: Central Sterile Certification preferred.

• Will perform and document biological testing, properly operate all department sterilizers and accurately label each sterilizer item.

Job Summary

Job Type: Full Time

Position entails the receipt, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and hospital equipment. Will perform and document biological testing, properly operate all department sterilizers and accurately label each sterilizer item. Technician is knowledgeable of The Joint Commission (TJC) and American Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate

EXPERIENCE:

• One year experience in Central Sterile or Operating Room experience preferred.

CERTIFICATION:

• Central Sterile Certification preferred.
