AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to monitor and stock surgical instruments and supplies for scheduled procedures. You will collaborate with Sterile Processing and OR teams to ensure tool availability and accurate instrument sets, while maintaining compliance with inventory systems.

Requirements include high school graduate, knowledge of OR procedures and medical terminology, and the ability to work in SPD and Case Cart.

Qualifications

• Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills required.
• Critical thinking skills required.
• Knowledge of OR procedure types/Medical terminology.
• Ability to work in SPD and Case Cart Department.
• Knowledge of Preference Cards and OR instrumentation/exchanges for that instrumentation.

Responsabilités

• Monitors and maintains adequate levels of surgical supplies and instruments.
• Communicates daily instrument needs with Sterile Processing staff.
• Picks and prepares instrumentation and supplies needed for scheduled surgical cases.
• Utilizes inventory management systems to track instruments and supplies.
• Unloads and stocks sterilized instrument sets in designated locations.
• Assists with lending/borrowing of products and instruments with other institutions as needed.
• Ensures instruments and supplies are properly organized and stored.
• Reports supply issues and provides inventory management suggestions to the Manager.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe OR environment.
• Attends mandatory in-service meetings and continuing education for professional development.
• Provides technical support to OR staff as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description:
