Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to support patients and pharmacists with medication adherence, prescription processing, and pharmacy operations.

The role requires national certification and state registration as a Pharmacy Technician. You will process prescriptions, assist with insurance issues, maintain inventory, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the state of employment.
• National CPhT certification (or equivalent).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Preferred: 5+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter prescriptions accurately with pharmacists and clinicians.
• Label, fill, prepare, and coordinate prescription delivery with special storage needs.
• Support patients via inbound/outbound calls, adherence follow-ups, and education.
• Assist with insurance issues and financial assistance programs.
• Maintain inventory, order medications, and assemble supplies.
• Manage data, adjudicate claims, and support follow-up activities.
• Identify process improvements while maintaining quality and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, patients, and internal teams.
