Job summary

Kin:Pathic Nashua, NH is seeking a dedicated Certified Special Education Teacher to join our growing Southern New Hampshire team. The role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs within a multidisciplinary ABA-influenced environment.

You will develop IEPs, deliver individualized instruction, and collaborate with BCBAs, RBTs, families, and school staff to align educational and behavioral goals.

Qualifications

About the Role

kin:pathic is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Certified Special Education Teacher to join our growing team in Southern New Hampshire. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs and is interested in working within a multidisciplinary environment grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and educational support while collaborating closely with BCBAs, RBTs, families, school personnel, and other members of the student's care team.

Key Responsibilities

The Special Education Teacher will:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal special education requirements.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs, learning objectives, and IEP goals.
• Develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies to support students with varying academic, developmental, communication, and behavioral needs.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain data regarding student progress toward educational goals.
• Modify instruction based on student performance, progress monitoring, and ongoing assessment.
• Serve as a collaborative member of multidisciplinary teams supporting students across educational and behavioral environments.
• Collaborate with BCBAs and RBTs to promote consistency between educational programming and behavioral supports.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, parent meetings, and other student-focused planning activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely educational records, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with families, school personnel, clinicians, and other stakeholders.
• Support students in developing academic, communication, social, behavioral, and functional skills.
• Promote student independence and successful participation in the least restrictive and most appropriate educational environment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal and New Hampshire special education requirements and organizational policies.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Current New Hampshire Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility for NH certification.
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and special education requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to individualized, evidence-based, and student-centered services.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting students with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or significant behavioral needs.
• Experience collaborating with BCBAs, RBTs, or ABA programs.
• Experience with behavioral data collection and data-based decision making.
• Experience working in public school, specialized school, or clinical settings.
• Knowledge of positive behavioral supports and evidence-based instructional practices.
