Job summary

Care New England Sleep Lab is seeking a trained Sleep Lab Technician to score PSG/MSLT recordings and prepare reports for physician interpretation. The role includes evaluating recordings, interpreting data, and generating computerized PSG reports.

Requirements include vocational/technical training and at least one year of related experience, plus Registered Polysomnography Technologist certification. Responsibilities also cover educational outreach to staff and supporting lab marketing efforts.

Qualifications

Vocational/technical training and a minimum of one year’s job-related experience or equivalent is required.
Registered Polysomnography technologist certification is also required.

Responsibilities

Scores PSG and MSLT recordings and prepares reports for physician interpretation.
Evaluates PSG and MSLT recordings and generates computerized PSG reports.
Interprets raw data and scores sleep stages using standardized criteria and computes sleep parameters.
Identify abnormalities in cardiac activity and respiration; quantify artifacts and sleep/wake patterns.
Assist with marketing the sleep lab to outside community and staff physicians; provide information on test capabilities.
