Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of sign language interpreting/transliterating preferred.
• Essential Physical Requirements: frequent standing, repetitive hand/arm movements, occasional bending/kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate records related to services.
• Act as liaison between DHH students using sign language and staff/parents to promote rapport.
• Assist in deaf awareness orientation in schools.
• Respect confidentiality and adhere to IEPs, adjust activities accordingly.
• Provide sign language interpretation/transliteration in educational settings.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide optimal services.
• Support tutoring for DHH students under supervision.
