Job summary

Moore County Hospital District in Dumas, Texas is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room under the Surgery Nurse Director. You will assist physicians and the surgical team, preparing and passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.

The position requires completing an accredited surgical technology program; Texas CST certification is preferred. Prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Verifiable completion of an accredited program in surgical technology.
• No prior experience required.
• Current Texas CST certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting the physician/surgeon and charge nurse.
• Assist surgeons during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon's needs and hand surgical instruments.
• Prepare and organize the operating room and maintain a sterile environment.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and communicate patient status to staff.
