Job summary

Port Angeles School District is seeking a School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and on field trips. The role requires strict adherence to district policies, pre-trip inspections, and proper handling of student conduct and safety procedures.

The driver will maintain route timing, complete reports, and participate in drills and trainings as needed. CDL with P and School Bus endorsements is required, along with a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (Class B) required.

Responsibilities

Safely drives a school bus on designated routes on school days.
Transports students, teachers, and others on field trips and activities.
Conducts pre-trip inspections and ensures bus is clean and safe.
Cleans and refuels bus as needed and maintains bus equipment.
Maintains order and discipline among students per district policies.
Monitors route times and completes required records and reports.
Ensures no child is left on the bus without supervision; assists with drills and emergencies.
Travels to and from district buildings and field trip locations as required.
