Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care across respiratory services according to physicians’ orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for clinicians in respiratory care. Duties will be assigned as needed to support patient outcomes.

Experience with NBRC credentials and state licensure are required, with a focus on collaboration within a supportive Mercy team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Holds the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
