The Certified Respiratory Therapist RRT will join a respiratory care service line that provides care to both adult and pediatric populations. The Certified Respiratory Therapist RRT will assist to provide a number of services including airway and ventilator management, aerosol medication administration and education, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiograms, cardiopulmonary disease and rehabilitation. The Certified Respiratory Therapist RRT will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The Certified Respiratory Therapist RRT will act as a professional who can demonstrate clinical knowledge to provide respiratory care adequate for both pediatric and adult populations. The Respiratory Therapist RRT will act as a clinical leader within the Respiratory Services department and will be able to explain the purpose and procedure of treatments to patients and families alike. The Respiratory Therapist RRT will conduct physical examinations of the patient and will then prescribe treatment or therapies utilizing IPPB equipment, various oxygen devices, ultrasonic nebulizers, aerosol and humidity therapy, incentive spirometry, among many other treatments.
