Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Pulaski, part of the HCA Healthcare system in Pulaski, Virginia, seeks a Certified Respiratory Therapist to deliver skilled care on the night shift. You will work with the team to administer standard respiratory therapies and monitor patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch respiratory care to patients.
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and report results to physician.
• Set up ventilators, BiPAP and CPAP and adjust as needed.
• Wean parameters and extubations.
• Perform EKGs and PFTs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist, you will be working as part of the team to providetop-notch respiratory care to our patients, administering routine treatment modalities (CPT, Nebulizer Treatments, etc.) according to physician’s orders and policy. You will refer to physician order and set-up and monitor oxygen accordingly.

• You will gather arterial blood gas samples, perform analysis and report results to physician.
• Perform ventilator, BiPAP, and CPAP set up, while making any necessary changes.
• You will perform weaning parameters and extubations.
• EKG’s and PFT’s.

What qualifications you will need

• Current license in good standing.
