Position Summary

Henry County Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. We prioritize exceptional patient care, focusing on patient comfort and safety. Candidates should be customer-focused and friendly across all age groups. The RT provides care, treatment, and rehabilitation to patients with pulmonary disorders through respiratory therapy. They should have knowledge of pharmacy, anatomy, and physiology, and make judgments in consultation with physicians and healthcare team members regarding respiratory care. Proficient technical skills in respiratory therapies, along with a working knowledge of current trends, equipment, supplies, safety principles, and practices, are essential.

Qualifications
  • One year of experience in an acute care hospital managing trauma and emergency situations.
  • TN Respiratory Therapist License.
  • Willing to train new graduates.
Education

Graduate from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

Licenses/Certifications
  • Current and valid Tennessee Respiratory Care Practitioners Certificate.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential.
  • Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Eligibility for NBRC exam or advanced placement, or RRT credential.
