• Certified in CPR, NRP, ACLS, and PALS.

Position Overview

The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides Respiratory Care modalities to patients as ordered by physicians, including but not limited to the administration of respiratory-related medications, oxygen and humidity therapies, airway clearance therapy, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, etc., in accordance with established policy and procedure and based on accepted national standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Professional/Educational
• CRT Licensed in the State of Illinois with 2 or more years of Critical Care experience.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Certified by the American Heart Association in ACLS and PALS (highly recommended).
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
• Personal
• Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
• Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Additional Details

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
