Job summary

Encompass Health seeks a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to provide individualized, compassionate care and guide patients along their rehabilitation journey in Georgia. The role involves developing and evaluating patient care plans and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

A valid RN license and CRRN certification are required, with CPR certification (ACLS preferred) and inpatient rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN licensure as required by state regulations.
  • CRRN certification required.
  • CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
  • Two years of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care for each patient.
  • Oversees care by nursing and other staff on the assigned unit/shift.
  • Coordinates care and communicates with other departments.
  • Documents care and changes in patient condition.
  • Takes remedial actions as needed.
  • Assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities when needed.
  • Instructs patient/caregiver on tests, procedures, therapies and medications.
  • Attends interdisciplinary conferences and relays nursing observations.
  • Implements emergency response during crises in absence of senior management.
  • Provides two in-services annually and supports nurse development.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and collaborates with other departments to coordinate care.
  • Documents care and changes in patient condition.
  • Takes remedial actions when needed.
  • Assumes the responsibility of Charge Nurse when needed and as assigned.
  • Instructs patient/caregiver on tests, procedures, treatments, medications in understandable terms.
  • Attends interdisciplinary conference, representing department and relaying nursing observations.
  • Implements emergency response to crisis situations in the absence of senior management.
  • Provides a minimum of two in‑services annually.
  • Participates in identifying and implementing training needs for nurse development.
Qualifications
  • Valid RN licensure as required by state regulations.
  • CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
  • CRRN® certification required.
  • Two years of experience in inpatient hospital setting preferred.
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
