Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care, oversee nursing care on your unit, and collaborate with other departments to coordinate comprehensive patient recovery.

This role requires CRRN certification and RN licensure, with CPR and ACLS preferred. Inpatient rehab experience is highly valued, with opportunities for ongoing education and leadership

Qualifications

• Valid RN license required by state regulations.
• Current RN license in state.
• CPR certification; ACLS certification preferred.
• CRRN certification required.
• Two years inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care for each patient.
• Oversees care of patient provided by nursing and other staff on the assigned unit/shift.
• Communicates and collaborates with other departments to coordinate care.
• Documents care and changes in patient condition. Takes remedial actions when needed.
• Assumes the responsibility of Charge Nurse when needed and as assigned.
• Instructs patient/caregiver on tests, procedures, treatments, medications in understandable terms.
• Attends interdisciplinary conference, representing department and relaying nursing observations.
• Implements emergency response to crisis situations in the absence of senior management.
• Provides a minimum of two in-services annually.
• Participates in identifying and implementing training needs for nurse development.
