Job summary

Merakey seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner for the Adult Behavioral Health division to perform psychiatric evaluations and manage medications for consumers. The role includes collaboration with inpatient psychiatrists, PCPs, and therapists to ensure comprehensive, recovery-oriented care.

Expect to document thoroughly, coordinate discharge plans, attend trainings, and uphold Merakey’s zero-tolerance policy while delivering high-quality psychiatric services in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold doctorate or medical degree with licensure to practice psychiatry
• Experience conducting psychiatric evaluations and medication management preferred
• Ability to coordinate with inpatient Attending Psychiatrists and Primary Care Physicians

Responsibilities

• Conduct Psychiatric Evaluations for new admissions and annual re-evaluations.
• Perform Medication Management at productive levels and based on medical necessity.
• Coordinate discharge planning with inpatient psychiatrists and chart documentation.
• Document contacts with primary care physicians and review lab results.
• Obtain signatures for Treatment Plans and ensure timely co-signatures.
• Consult with therapists to support integrated client care.
• Attend medical trainings and Medical Staff meetings as required.
• Report to Medical Director on clinical standards and to Program Director on operations.

Job description

We are seeking aCertified Registered Nurse Practitionerto join the Adult Behavioral Health division within Merakey.

• Conduct Psychiatric Evaluations to newly admitted consumers and annual Re-evaluations in on-going cases.
• Perform Medication Management at an expected productivity level of 70%, seeing consumers based on medical necessity.
• Observe Merakey's policy on prescription renewals and prescriptions by phone.
• Conduct Psychiatric Evaluation to newly admitted consumers, and annual Re-evaluations in on-going cases.
• Contact inpatient Attending Psychiatrists and document in the chart on all admitted consumers, including the coordination of discharge.
• Document contacts with consumers' Primary Care Physician (on-going at annual intervals or as needed).
• Review, obtain, and sign all appropriate lab results.
• Obtain client's signatures/approval and co-sign Treatment Plans at prescribed intervals.
• Be available to consult with therapists as needed as it relates to collaborate client care
• Attend Medical trainings and/or Medical Staff Meetings as needed/required
• Adhere to principles of Recovery & Resiliency best practices.
• Report medically to the Medical Director (including matters pertaining to standards of care, psychiatric practices, and clinician conduct).
• Report administratively to the Program Director (including matters pertaining to operations, scheduling, and workplace behavior).
