Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Per Diem

Per Diem Hourly Rate is $200.00 hr. Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is hiring qualified CRNAs to work at our Main Campus in Boston, MA. This advanced practice position offers opportunity to develop clinical skills with dynamic anesthesia team in a large, academic medical center with strong medical school affiliation.

Job Summary

CRNA I is a board‑certified licensed clinician who provides anesthesia services to all patients in the organization. General responsibilities include review of patients' medical history, administration and management of anesthesia, and monitor patient during procedure or throughout peri‑operative period. Incumbent supplies documentation of continued registration as a CRNA.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s Degree Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner required.
  • Licenses and Credentials: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) required; Mass Registered Nurse preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Experience: Experience as a CRNA or New Graduate 0-1 year preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, and pharmacology related to anesthesia.
    • Demonstrates clinical competence within scope of practice standards set by the department.
    • Comfortable in fast‑paced, dynamic, team‑based care setting; can work independently and with team.
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with surgeons, staff, patients.
    • Ability to keep current with best practices.
    • Skilled in medical histories, quality control, emergency response, guideline application.
