Work in a Collaborative & Supportive Environment:

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a nationally recognized academic health system with a Level 1 trauma center. In the Inpatient Anesthesia Department, you will work on diverse cases including Orthopedic, Vascular, Burns, Cardiothoracic, Neurology, ENT, General/Abdominal, Robotic, Gynecology, and more, such as EP, IR, MRI, Brachytherapy, and TEE.

What You’ll Do:

As a key team member, the CRNA will provide anesthesia during inpatient procedures, ensuring safe and quality care. Responsibilities include:

1. Precepting Student Nurse Anesthetists and mentoring medical students.
2. Developing patient care plans using medical decision-making skills, considering co-morbidities and developmental guidelines.
3. Collaborating with the medical team for effective, team-based care; maintaining patient safety; promoting quality improvement and infection prevention.
4. Documenting patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
5. Maintaining scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality for timely patient care.
6. Exhibiting professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and ongoing professional development.
7. Contributing to cost containment by conserving resources.
8. Performing other related duties as assigned.

The clinician functions under the regulatory mandates of their licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental credentialing from the institution.

CRNA Requirements:

• Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master’s Degree or higher.
• RN licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing + certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrated clinical competency within granted privileges.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
