Job description

Hi there! This is Jason Long from ProTouch Locums. A facility we are partnered with in Mason City, IA, is looking to add 2 CRNA's to cover the dates below, with ongoing sporadic coverage.

Open Dates:

March - ongoing. Specific dates TBD.

Schedule:

1. Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm
2. Tuesday, Thursday: 7:15 am - 3:45 pm

CRNAs will be required to stay late when needed a few times a week.

Weekend Call Requirements:

• Must be comfortable with OB/epidurals, some trauma, simple peds cases, bread and butter cases to cover call.
• Must stay in Mason City while on call (10-minute response time).
• Must be available to cover 3 weekends per month in 2024 - ongoing.
• Holiday call coverage for 2024 is required, including:
• Fri/Sun and Sat/Mon for Christmas and New Year's.
• Thursday/Saturday for Thanksgiving.
• Willing to travel someone in and offer additional weekday coverage if they can provide substantial weekend call coverage.

Additional Details:

• Cerner and paper charting.
• Level III trauma center.
• The facility handles mostly stable, less complex cases, with the really sick peds and complicated trauma cases usually shipped out. An additional physician on 2nd call backs up the team for complex cases.
• Types of cases include OB, general surgery, GI, bariatric, Uro, ortho, neuro, cardiothoracic, some ENT (mostly at the local ASC), and peds.

Submission Requirements:

• NBCRNA certification - Required.
• Availability to cover the above dates - Required.
• BLS & ACLS certifications - Required.
• Iowa License or IMLC - Required.
• DEA and CSR - Required.
• Clean record/license for quick credentialing - Required.
• Ability to meet call requirements - Required.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination - Required (verbal confirmation at name clear).
