Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital in Minnesota seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join a multidisciplinary anesthesia team. The role includes pre-operative assessment, planning, vascular access, airway management, anesthesia induction and emergence, and post-operative care.

The position offers varied shifts across days, evenings, nights and weekends with 80 hours every two weeks. Requires CRNA and RN licenses in-state, NBCRNA certification, PTO from day one, and career development

Qualifications

• Must hold CRNA license in state of practice.
• RN license in state of practice required.
• NBCRNA certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs a pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines a plan of care and communicates it to patient and family.
• Establishes and maintains venous access.
• Ensures establishment and maintenance of airway.
• Induces, maintains, and monitors anesthesia.
• Completes anesthesia and emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff at procedure end.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case.
• Instructs anesthesia students as a clinical instructor.

Cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

What you will do

• Performs a pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines a plan of care and communicating the plan of care to patient and family.
• Establishes and maintains essential venous access.
• Ensures establishment and maintenance of airway.
• Responsible for inducting, maintaining the anesthesia, and proper monitoring.
• Responsible for completing the anesthesia and the emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case performed.
• Perform as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.
