Job description

Location:

City in Michigan offering all the big-city excitement you'd expect from a metropolis with a population of over a million. Features include hundreds of restaurants and nightspots, theatres, museums, sports events, and concerts. The safe and clean downtown is surrounded by an eclectic mix of walkable neighborhoods.

Facility:

Hospital designated as a Level 2 trauma center, equipped with 16 operating rooms, 4 endoscopy suites, 2 OB operating rooms, and 5 NORA sites.

Opportunity:

• On call: Quarterly weekend call requirement assigned randomly, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts, alternating between primary and secondary backup. Staff are exempt from weekend calls surrounding their PTO weeks.
• Weekday call: Approximately one shift every six weeks, from 7 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Thursday.
• Schedule: Includes a mix of 8, 10, 12, 16, and 24-hour shifts.
• Case mix: Covers a broad range of general and complex cases, including kidney transplants, thoracic, orthopedic (including trauma), bariatrics, podiatry, GYN, neuro, ETCs, MRI/CT, heart and vascular, OB, and regional blocks.
• Team: Professional, confident, and friendly team of providers.
