Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA): $25,000 Sign-On Bonus
Primary Purpose

Administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care from pre-anesthetic patient assessment and evaluation through post-anesthetic patient follow-up, evaluation, and care. Formulates and carries out anesthetic patient care plans in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists to facilitate quality patient care, comfort, and satisfaction during diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.

Minimum Specifications:
Education
  • Must be a graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Program accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia (COA) or its predecessor.
Experience
Equivalent Education and/or Experience
Certification/Registration/Licensure
  • Must have a current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid Compact RN license.
  • Must have a current license or temporary authorization (interim approval not to exceed 120 days from date of issuance) as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Must have current healthcare provider CPR certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
  • Must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Systems (ACLS) certification.
  • Must have valid national certification as a CRNA by the NBCRNA.
  • Must meet and maintain licensing and registration requirements as per Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Credentialing Policies.

  • Provides care to the assigned patient population in accordance with Texas Nurse Practice Act, protocols, and standards.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in anesthetic patient care, demonstrate ethical norms, and respect patient rights.
  • Good organizational skills and effective communication with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrates patient-centered behaviors.
Responsibilities:
  1. Maintains and implements knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines, ensuring compliance.
  2. Develops effective internal controls to promote adherence to legal and accreditation requirements.
  3. Maintains and updates knowledge of sanitation, infection control, safety, supplies, and equipment utilization.
