Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide professional anesthesiology services and manage anesthesiology operations for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, pediatric, thoracic, and obstetrical anesthesia, along with sedation and regional anesthesia.
• Conduct pre-evaluation anesthesia services according to established guidelines.
• Monitor post-surgical patients for anesthesia-related complications.
• Respond promptly to anesthesia-related emergency codes as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with the OR Leadership Team and other clinical staff.
• Maintain adherence to approved medical standards and practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation of 1:4.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA) is required.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain an Iowa license or be a member of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Minimum of 5 years of CRNA work experience preferred.
• Experience with procedures in both adult and pediatric patients is required.
• BLS certification required (or willing to obtain within 3 months of hire).
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (or willing to obtain within 1 year of hire).
• Clean malpractice history preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA) - REQUIRED
• Iowa license (or willingness to obtain) or IMLC - REQUIRED
• BLS certification - REQUIRED
• ACLS, PALS, AND NRP certifications - REQUIRED
