Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Schedule: PRN

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Level II provides professional, competent anesthesia care to a wide variety of patients, from pediatric up to geriatric population, requiring surgical, obstetrical, and other anesthesia services. Additionally, the CRNA Level II utilizes skills obtained through additional training, education, and/or experience in the provision of anesthesia care to patients with complex and unique anesthetic requirements.

Works primarily in Community Medical Centers, providing coverage to other Community Medical Centers, ASCs, HOPDs, and Tertiary Medical Centers with Multispecialty Trauma Services & multiple NORA (Non-operating room anesthesia) sites as directed by NH Anesthesia Leadership. The role involves floating to different facilities as needed, practicing within the full scope of CRNA privileges, and may include taking call from home.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN, MSN, DNP, or graduate diploma; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia; NBCRNA certification as CRNA; state recognition.
• Experience: No prior experience necessary; 4-6 week orientation with a preceptor, depending on experience.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN license, CRNA endorsement, NBCRNA certification, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Skills: Extensive knowledge of anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs, and equipment; ability to modify anesthesia care based on patient age; decision-making under stress; professional demeanor.
