Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH is seeking anesthesia professionals to join a busy team. The position offers a 4 day work week with rotating call and a guaranteed post-call day off with pay. Typical hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Board-certified anesthesiologist preferred.
• Flexible with call schedule.
• Experience with diverse surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for general, vascular, OB/maternity, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, ortho and urology cases as listed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor and manage perioperative patient care from pre-op to post-op.

• Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (cases start at 7:30 a.m.), hours may extend past 3:30 p.m. with Surgery add-on cases.

Staffing

• 8 Anesthesiologists
• 20 CRNAs

Call Schedule

• Rotating weekday call every other week
• Weekend call is 1:10
• All call post day off

• Case load depends on room:
• General Surgery
• Vascular
• OB/maternity
• Gynecology
• ENT
• Ophthalmology
• Ortho
• Urology
• Healthy Peds - nothing less than 1 year old
