Job summary

MedLink Georgia is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our Habersham, GA clinic. The role supports healthcare professionals during patient examinations, records patient histories and vital signs, and ensures rooms are prepared for procedures.

You will administer medications as directed, perform basic lab tests, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while using the eClinicalWorks EHR system. Scheduling and insurance verification may be included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records (eClinicalworks)
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills
